2025 Roots Athletics Soccer Coaching Staff

Heather Gonzalez

Biography:

Heather returns to the CRA Girls Soccer coaching staff for a second year. Prior to joining the CRA coaching staff, she coached soccer at both the club and recreation levels. She also coaches our girls basketball team and is a member of the elementary Special Education team at CRA where she currently works with our elementary students as an instructional facilitator. During the summer she continues to work with our students as a member of our CCC team. She is a valued member of our school community.

Sean Peck

Biography:

My name is Sean Peck, and I’m the Technical Director of PSP. I was born and raised right here in Southern California, and for the past 10 years I’ve been coaching club soccer—primarily on the girls’ side. I’ve also spent the last five years coaching high school boys varsity soccer and the last four years in the 3rd tier of professional soccer in the states. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m grateful to now give back to the same community that shaped me growing up.

Hevany Mota

Biography:

Hevany Mota, is the owner and operator of PSP. Hevany moved to the U.S. in 2018 from Cape Verde and played college soccer at William Penn University in Iowa. One of Hevany's proudest moments as a soccer player came in the 2023 U.S. Open Cup - the most prestigious tournament in US soccer, where we defeated Ventura County Fusion 4–1 in a huge upset. He scored 2 goals, contributed 2 assists, and earned a 9.4 match rating from U.S. Soccer—one of the highest ever recorded in the tournament’s history.

Silva Mosue

Biography:

Silva grew up in Belgium and moved to the U.S. in 2018, where he played collegiate soccer at Westcliff University. Sean Peck, "I coached Silva for two years, and he is without a doubt one of the most talented players I’ve ever worked with. While we still joke about getting him back on the pitch, Silva has fully committed himself to coaching and developing players, and his passion shows in every session he leads."
