Ernest Avila

Hello, my name is Ernest Avila, and I am an Instructional Facilitator for 3rd Grade at CRA. I previously worked at CRA before pursuing a career in law enforcement as a police officer with the San Diego Harbor Police Department. After some time in law enforcement. I decided to return to my passion for education and teaching.

Outside of school, I am married and a proud father to our two-month-old daughter. This is my third year coaching volleyball, and I am excited for the upcoming season. I look forward to helping develop our student-athletes both on and off the court and supporting them as they grow, learn, and succeed.

She has been a part of the Roots Volleyball program for the past 3 years and has also started the Roots Pickleball Club. Mrs. Voccola is a Southern California native, and you’ll often find her at the pickleball courts, volleyball games, or on the soccer fields with her husband and two children, or even walking the Aliso Wood Canyon trails with her furry companion. Along with teaching and sporting activities, she values reading, playing many types of card games, and watching her favorite sports teams, the Los Angeles Kings and San Francisco 49ers.
